For your slice of Heaven: 828-389-6115 This is Lake Chatuge, the site being used for the events put on by the Great Smoky Mountains Triathlon Club. Our cross lake swim goes from Hiawassee Ga to Hayesville NC and covers 4.5 miles. Our mountain bike race takes place in the foothills of the lake, and our road bike race tours around the lake. It's a beautiful venue for races and I hope you get a chance to come join us during the 2000 race season.

The year 2000 will be our third year of triathlon, swimming, running and bike races. Each year gets better as we refine our courses and make the races more inviting to the hard core and general athletic racers. This year we are planning 3 triathlons, 2 duathlons, 1 half marathon, 1 open water swim (4.5 miles), 1 mountain bike race and 1 road bike race.

Races are held in the North Ga. and western North Carolina areas of the Smoky Mountains, where spring comes early and winter comes late. We have lots of first class hotels, restaurants, golf courses and water activities to enjoy while you and your family come to race. See our sponsors page for more details concerning this information.
